Affiliate Marketing
For those of you who are new to affiliate marketing and have no clue as to what it is, I've listed a few definitions for you:
1. Affiliate marketing is the use by a Web site (yours for instance) that sells products of other Web sites, called affiliates, to help market the products. Amazon.com, the book seller, created the first large-scale affiliate program and hundreds of other companies have followed since.
2. Revenue sharing between two web sites. Affiliate site normally provide free advertising for an ecommerce site and compensation is based on performance, for example, sales, clicks, registrations, or a combination of all.
3. Affiliate Marketing is a widespread method of promoting a website, in which an affiliate is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. It is a modern variation of the practice of paying finder's-fees to individuals who introduce new clients to a business. Compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit (Pay-per-click), registrant (Pay-per-lead), or a commission for each customer or sale (Pay-per-Sale).

Website owners join affiliate programs everyday. It's a very lucrative industry but, many of them never see commissions because they place a few banners or links on their pages and that's it. Affiliate Marketing doesn't work that way. Visitors are so familiar with this, they just ignore it.
How to get visitors to "click."
When promoting a product or service, you must give details. An explanation of the product or service places the desire for an individual to want more! Write a review of what the product or service is and if you purchased it, give an enticing overview of what you received!
